Great all natural soap for whole body
Very nice all natural soap. It produces a good lather and cleans very well. The nicest thing about it is that it cleans without stripping the natural oils from your skin and hair. I've particularly noticed my hair looks and feels so much nicer after using it in replacement of shampoo. I will say it does have a strong smell (I like it) which I could see some people not liking, but it does not smell as strong on your skin once used. I bought more of it and some other olive oil soap after liking it so much.

The bar is shaped a bit squarely but it will last longer because of it.
This soap is pure olive oil and pure bay laurel oil. It may smell different than what you are used to, but it speaks to the purity. Just a few ingredients and no artificial or irritating perfumes. (My sis said it smells like fresh latex paint, and I do see what she is saying, but I do not find it unpleasant at all.) It feels really good on the skin and in the bathtub. Not like you are sitting in chemicals. I also use it for shaving since it lathers well and the olive oil helps the razor to glide and the laurel oil acts as an antiseptic agent.

Olive oil soap
I saw a documentary on how they make these olive oil soaps in the Middle East. They are exactly as they say. They do make your skin feel soft. The fragrance is not great, but not bad.

Is this Chinese soap?
Why does the packaging have Chinese labels? It says it is a Syrian product but it smells like old olive oil...I bought this one instead of my usual brand of Aleppo soap, but now I am sorry I did. I use it for washing dishes and cleaning, but it does not leave that disinfected olive smell that the Turkish and Palestinian ones do. And there was a stain that came off on my gloves. This brand seems like a copy of Aleppo soap. I would not buy again.

Mixed feelings
I don’t know what to think about this. Firstly, it smells awful. There is no way anyone could smell the bars of soap I got and think it’s a pleasant smell, so maybe the batches are different, but mine smells like coal ash. I brought the bars into my bathroom in the box when they arrived and kept wondering what that bad smell was. It was the soap. I decided to use it anyway, and I like it as a soap. It makes my skin feel good. It lathers enough on my washcloth, but not a lot of lather, which is fine for me. I don’t have a bad smell after I use it. I just can’t get past this smell while using it and while it’s sitting in my bathroom. I’m going to try cutting the edges first and just using the middle, but if it still smells the same, I don’t think I can keep it.
