This is an excellent device if you are seeking to add wireless (or wired) CarPlay. It also works with Android Auto, but this is installed in my wife's vehicle so I haven't tried using it for that yet. I'm going to break down the pros and cons below:Pros1) Excellent sound quality using Aux port and FM transmitter2) Bright display that can be dimmed for night driving3) Extremely easy to use4) Excellent suction mount with an easy install (under 15 minutes to get paired up and everything working properly)5) When using the FM transmitter, the device has excellent call quality6) The device powers up immediately and reconnects to the phone with no issuesCons1) The included mic is terrible, but the one built in the device is fantastic when using FM2) FM transmission does require there to be open channels near your location which can be an issue in more urban areas3) The swiping detection is a little slow4) The power supply includes two USB ports to plug in other cords, but I would have liked to see a USB-c port instead of two regular USB ports5) If your car does not turn off power to your 9v when you turn it off, you will have to unplug it every time. Thankfully my wife's car does turn off, so it wasn't an issue.This is an excellent device with just some minor flaws that do not warrant removing 1 star in my opinion. I would have given this device 9/10 for these few flaws. If we lived somewhere difficult to use the FM transmitter, it would be 4/5 stars.I would also like to add that it would be awesome if the manufacturer created a model of this device that included a dash camera so that it could be multipurpose.If you are looking to update a vehicle with a wireless CarPlay experience, this is the way to go! We contemplated putting in the new stereo system, but this is a much cheaper option! It is definitely better if the car has an aux port or you live in an area with a few open FM stations, so make sure you can do one or the other before purchasing.

I was originally hoping to pair this with my car's head unit over Bluetooth, and that somehow my existing steering wheel controls would work with it. No joy - this unit can only use bluetooth to connect to the phone. Backup plan - connect to the car radio over FM. I didn't realize it, but there is SOME FM signal almost everywhere on the spectrum where I live, so there was always interference. So I hard-wired the unit to my car. The unit boots quickly - about 15 seconds - and wireless carplay works flawlessly. I plugged in the external mic, but it's not working well yet. Carplay has real issues interpreting what I say when I try to dictate texts etc, but I think I need to keep playing with microphone location. All in all, I can use the screen to show maps while navigating, it helps me avoid holding my phone to text while driving, and it's what I wanted.

was super excited to install apple car play in my 2007 bmw x3 until the device wasn’t turning on when i tried installing. installation went smooth but the device wasn’t turning on no matter what i did. going to return this. very unhappy with my purchase.

Ive had this carplay for a year or so now and it still works like new. There are a few bugs here and there but that could be my cars port. I use it with my 2008 jeep compas. Notes though the rear camera is more difficult to put in.

This added the Android Auto Experience to a 2015 Jeep. Everything works well, no noticeable lags. Connection to FM sounds pretty good but it is not automatically connected to FM every time the car is turned on. I decided to use the AUX cable for a complete hands free experience as soon as the car is on (~15secs). I did not use the camera and mic. I would have given 5 stars if the product I received was brand new. It had clear signs it was already open and not in the usual unsealed package, including loose cables. I did not return as I tested it and it is working as it should, but the unit I received was not brand new.

180k truck & cheap radio lol but this was the perfect add on so I can add my phone, have navigation, connect my raído & have amazing sound! Touchscreen makes things very easy! Installation was less than 5 minutes & the quality seems great so far! I found the exact same unit for 200 & after scrolling a bit I found this one at a much better price! Super happy with it & I didn’t have to replace the stock crappy radio! Love it!

I was excited for this as my 2012 Hyundai Accent doesn’t have bluetooth. However, after only a few hours of installation the monitor fell while I was driving. This happened at least 3 more times before I took it down. Additionally, the main reason I got this was because I wanted to take calls hands-free, but everyone I call can barely hear me and there is a faint buzzing sound when calling/listening to music. My aux port works fine so that’s not the issue. I also tried using a different aux cord instead of the one provided but it still doesn’t work properly. Siri reads my texts (sometimes) and asks if I would like to reply and I have to scream NO in order for it to hear me.The only thing this device does for me is Maps and I can listen to my music through Bluetooth. Wouldn’t recommend.
