Update - have used this constantly and abused it with excessively heavy loads (2 large gallons of water plus 2 liters of soda all at once, etc.) and still in great shape, all stitches tight and secure, no rips, no tears. This is a nice medium thick canvas (about 3-4x the thickness and much stiffer than typical tshirt fabric, despite what others have said lol), made of good quality cotton and with good craftmanship. I have Trader Joe bags made of similar canvas that have lasted over 14 years and are still going strong so I expect this bag will last too - probably longer than I will, lol.Original review - Highly recommended. Good quality, solid grocery sack that should last. I can get good quality at Trader Joes for less money, but I wanted some sturdy, washable and attractive bags without the TJ logo and these are great - even better than the TJ bags in some ways as these are much larger, have zip tops and reinforced bottoms. These have everything necessary for a great grocery bag - made of thick cotton canvas, double stitched, with wide handles that run down the body of the bag which are also double-stitched. For those who do not know, the best grocery bags have wide handles that run the entire length of the bag, under it and up the other side, or into a reinforced bottom like on this bag, double-stitched the entire way as that design is optimal to distribute and handle heavy loads on a constant basis. Thick cotton canvas is the ideal material as it stands up to rough use, is machine washable and can handle heavy loads repeatedly, plus being 100% biodegradeable, non-polluting and a great ecological choice. Plus the designs are attractive and the price is decent.

I LOVE these bags. Strong, roomy and esp love that they have a zipper top. GREAT for gifts and really appreciated by recepients. Got couple of these for myself and use them a lot!! Great price!!

This bad is one of my favorites. It has so much room and I love that is has a zipper to secure all of your things.

I like the bag and the design of the fish. Price was good. But bag arrived very wrinkled, so it never looked nice & new. And despite the bag being made of "quality heavy cotton canvas," it does not stand up on its own, so is not as useful as I had wanted.

This is a large, sturdy well made bag. I use it to take diapers/wipes to daycare. I put my son’s name on it with heat transfer vinyl. Great bag at an awesome price. Just what I was looking for.

Purchased this for a spring break trip and was very pleased it is put together very well and held up for our weekend trip. We were able to stuff for a big beach towels inside as well as drinks and other things I love the fact that it sits at the top and closes. It looks like the picture, only better. If you’re looking for a good sturdy canvas bag this is definitely it!

This is just what I was looking for to tote my kids' things to and from swim lessons/practice. Fits several towels, snacks, sunscreen, etc.
