Great birthday gift!
Bought these as a birthday gift for my friend. She already owns a pair of these cooling socks and says they work wonderfully to help with her neuropathy. They stay cool for about 30 minutes. Very soft and comfortable to wear. She loves that it has a pocket on the top of the foot to hold an ice pack along with the bottom of the foot. It also has a pocket for the heel of your foot.

Excellent choice for chemotherapy - high quality, well-designed, comfortable
We recently bought two sets of the ice mitts and socks to use during chemotherapy to reduce the risk of neuropathy, a very common side effect of paclitaxel. I initially bought one set, concerned about quality and fit and was very pleasantly surprised at how wellmade and soft/comfortable both the mitts and socks are.In terms of sizing, I am a women's size 9-9.5 shoe and the small/medium fit perfectly/snugly. I don't know that it would fit a women's shoe size larger than that. I have rather large hands and the gloves also fit perfectly. My paclitaxel infusion lasts 3 hours and they recommend putting on the gloves and socks 15 minutes prior and leaving them on 15 minutes after. The first set was a little too cold on my hands so we improvised with latex gloves and a papertowel around my hands until the mitts warmed up a little. Next time we will try thin cotton "moisturizing" gloves (WITHOUT any moisturizer added!) and remove them as soon as possible. Thin cotton socks worked great under the ice socks initially. We did run into a challenge with the second set not staying cold long enough to complete the 3.5 hours and the first set not having enough time to refreeze so I have ordered a 3rd set for next time. I don't think most people will run into this if they are able to keep the mitts/socks in a freezer at the facility upon arrival. We did have an ice chest but were delayed a couple of hours for blood draw, etc, so it was a while before we could get them into the freezer. Can't say how grateful I am to have found these! I hope this review helps someone else as confused as I was about what to do.

use daily
The media could not be loaded. Painful feel after 10 hr shift, I wear a size 6 but ordered a large so my bf can use them aswell, he is a size 11.. they fit him tight but he can still get a uses out of them, and they fit me a bit big and loose but i prefer it that way, they do help relieve pain .. they are perfect for when my feet feel achy and hot. .. so far I believe I have plantar fasciitis because my pain level reaches 10 at the end of my shift.. and this is the best thing that has minimized the pain after work. I just wish I didn’t have to freeze it all the time. I put the whole thing in a zip lock bag in the freezer because I hate putting the gel pads in and out everyday. It was a bit expensive for me but I would definitely re-buy in the future. remeber to size up because once it freezes the gel expands and it gives a lil wiggle room, feet can get too cold if they are tight, the material is stretchy soft like gym material.

Ice socks are Wonderful
Received my "ice socks" yesterday after being on my feet all day. I froze them overnight (they came with gel packs inserted in the socks and instructions said to freeze them that way). I am currently resting with my feet elevated and socks on. They are very cold, especially in the toe area. I ordered these because I have a lot of swelling on the top of my right foot. The socks are made with a gel pack "toe pocket" which is not the area I need the most help with, so I moved the gel pack halfway out to better cover the top of my foot and that is working well for me. These socks are very nice & well-made of a soft comfortable stretchy fabric (looks like product image on Amazon, not like earlier pictures of a white sock with holes). I wear a size 8.5 women's shoe and ordered small/med. They were easy to put on with gel packs inserted and a very good fit, not too small or too large. I've been wearing them for about 30 minutes & they are still fairly cold. I would highly recommend for anyone with foot problems needing ice. They're easy, convenient & non-messy. Just what I was looking for!

Easy method to ice feet, used for son's Sever's
Bought these socks for my 11 year old son who suffers from sever's. He gets pain in his heels and has some days where he struggles to walk with the pain. Part of treatment is to ice the area 3 times a day. Trying to wrap a flexible icepack around his heels with an ace bandage wasn't always successful or convenient. We tried these socks. They work well. He uses the long ice pad on the bottom of his feet, and the short pad on the back of his Achilles heel. When he elevates his feet, his heels rest on the ice pads and he doesn't have to worry about an ice pack shifting. Icing his feet is now almost as easy as wearing a pair of socks. His shoe size is around a 5-5 1/2, and we purchased him the s/m and there is a little room in there for his feet to grow, but they are still very effective and are tight enough for him to just kick back with them on his feet. They are a very convenient way to ice your feet. They come with a pair of socks and 2 pads for each foot. One long ice pad that slips in a pocket on the bottom of the sock, and another shorter ice pad you can either slip in a pocket over the Achilles heel area, or in a pocket that covers the top of your foot. If you need to ice your feet on a regular basis, these socks are an easy way to do it.

Not great, and non-refundable
These socks are super tight and you can barely get your foot in, the opening and actual "sock" part are very tightly sewn. I bought the S/M and can't even get a size 6 foot in. The gel pads harden when frozen as well, so you're not able to slide your foot in at all. This company does NOT allow refunds on amazon, so I'm trying to go through the manufacturer website and have not had good luck. Sad that I won't get the money back, what a waste.
