Used these on a half-door for a trailer I was building. These do need to be welded on but they are extremely satisfying once installed correctly. I used both latches on one door so the door doesn't go flying open on the freeway if one of them fails. Couldn't be happier!

Was going to use these as Locks on my BBQ pit but had to go a different route. They arrived quickly and are totally as described.

Had to drill some holes for install because I was connecting it to wood and not welding to steel but they’re are well made

I ordered these because I needed small-scale door bolts for a double cabinet door application. As shown in the video, there are NO mounting holes for attaching either the bolt or the striker plate to anything! It might be possible to remove the bolt and then drill a couple of holes in its bracket, but the bolt retaining pin is welded in place -- so it would have to be cut off, drilled out and replaced with a new pin once the modifications were made to the bracket -- way too much trouble. How this actually got through production and shipped out is anybody's guess!
